Sports Medicine
A number of our doctors have a key interest in fitness and sports medicine. With several having been previously physiotherapists, or enjoying spending far too long on weekends on mountain and road bikes, make sure you check out the doctors bios to find the right fit for you.
We are also fortunate to have Dr Zoe Burns, who has worked in sports medicine and rugby league since 2018 and is the Cronulla Sharks NRL Women's Chief Medical Officer. Through this experience Dr Zoe is comfortable with concussion and contact sport related injuries across all ages.
Dr Zoe can offer on site Ultrasound and injections, when appropriate, at the Kirrawee Practice. Please make an appointment to discuss your concerns and how to get you back to your sports and fitness activities sooner. She is passionate about preventing injuries as well as returning you to chosen game sooner, so weather ballet and dance, or rugby and oztag, she will work with you across your sporting adventures, weather weekend warrior or olympian.
She offers two special appointments:
Acute sporting injuries requiring prompt attention (30mins). Book here
Chronic injuries (45mins) in these appointments you will have an expert assessment, (+/- on site imaging) and management plan developed. Book here
