Dr Chris Timms has additional training in dermatology, skin cancer surgery and emergency medicine. Chris is passionate about all aspects of general practice, including providing high quality skin cancer treatment, helping patients attain healthy lifestyles and health at every size, men’s health, providing chronic conditions management, and being a well-rounded family physician. He also has an interest in ADHD management, gamer health and screen use disorders.

Chris is happily married to another doctor from the Shire! They married just down the road at The Elephant House. Chris grew up on the south coast of NSW before completing his training in Sydney (MBBS, UNSW). He has worked in many places around Australia including Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Tweed Heads, Warwick, Kiama and the Prince Of Wales Hospital in Sydney. Chris has completed Diplomas in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy.  He also has a certificate in Skin Cancer Surgery.

Chris has been published in national journals including the Medical Journal of Australia - Insight, the Australian Doctor and most importantly the Sutherland Leader! He is also a published author in his spare time, writing stories about heroes riding giant wombats and textbooks on how to ‘be an Awesome GP’. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
