At KFMP we offer medical termination of pregnancy for suitable patients.
Medical termination refers to the process of initiating a miscarriage using a combination of drugs. These drugs replicate hormonal changes similar to those experienced in a natural miscarriage to terminate a pregnancy, without surgical intervention. It is not suitable for all patients, so an initial assessment appointment is needed to arrange investigations including an ultrasound scan and blood test to determine suitability. It is only suitable for patients prior to 9 weeks of pregnancy.
